What does multiplication mean? Why do we multiply? How can we use multiplication every day? These are some of the questions that the third graders are exploring in their math unit. They use manipulatives, hands-on activities, and find patterns around them in order to understand this mathematical concept. Some have even started writing their math stories that involve multiplication.
