Dear Members of our Ras Beirut Secondary School,
It is with mixed feelings that I am writing to you today to let you know that Bruce Knox, our Director of the secondary school, will be leaving the school at the end of the current academic year. After serving IC for the past four years, Bruce has accepted the position of Director of the Secondary School at the American International School in Egypt.
I would like to thank Bruce for his exemplary dedication to IC and its secondary students. During the past four years, Bruce has worked enthusiastically and relentlessly with the faculty, the students, and the parents, to promote the principles of international education based on inquiry and students' agency, at IC. In addition, he has helped IC go through the past tumultuous year and a half by modeling empathy, teamwork, and calm reflection in the face of stressful and unpredictable situations. Finally, Mr. Knox's knowledge of technology in education has been instrumental to the success of IC's online and hybrid teaching and learning programs.
It has been a real pleasure for me to work with Bruce for the past two years; I and the rest of the IC community will miss him.
In order to identify Bruce's replacement, IC will conduct a local, regional, and international search and we are confident that we will be able to find the right person to continue and build on his fine legacy.
Please join me in congratulating Bruce on taking on a new, professional challenge and in bidding him farewell at the end of the current academic year.
