Zeina Abou Khalil appointed Director of the Ain Aar Pre and Lower Elementary

Dear members of our Ain Aar Lower Elementary and Pre-School Community,

I hope that this letter finds you well in spite of the challenging and stressful circumstances.

I am happy to announce that Zeina Abou-Khalil has been appointed as the next director of the Ain-Aar Pre and Lower Elementary School.

As you are already probably aware, Zeina has been the director of the Preschool on our Ras Beirut campus for the past three years. Previously, she had a long and distinguished career as a primary school teacher on the Ain Aar campus of IC where she taught every grade from Nursery through 5th grade. In addition, as a site visitor for PYP school accreditations and an on-line workshop facilitator for the PYP, Zeina has a thorough understanding of the PYP program and of the IB philosophy of education. She has also a deep knowledge of the French curriculum.

At the Helm of the PS RB, Zeina has accomplished much valuable work along with her dedicated and talented administrative and faculty team and has had an impeccable record as a school director. Under her leadership and during one of the most difficult periods in Lebanon, the Preschool of our RB campus has indeed become a model of forward-thinking education and a true community of learners in which every member has a voice.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, Zeina and Lina Mouchantaf will be working together for the remainder of the current academic year and Lina will remain available as a resource person for Zeina over the summer and beyond.

Please join me in welcoming Zeina to her new position and in expressing our gratitude to Lina again for the superb work she has done for IC and its students over the years.
